Terms of use

About these terms
Rowndy and Rowndy Kids (the “games”) are made by Dzined Ltd, Hertford, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom (“dzined”, “we”). By playing, you agree to these terms. If you join the leaderboard you also confirm you have read our Privacy policy. Questions: hello@dzined.com.
Playing
The games are free to play in a web browser. You don’t need an account. We may change, pause or retire features, word lists or scoring at any time, for example to fix bugs or keep the game fair.
Rowndy Kids
Rowndy Kids is designed for children, ideally with a parent or carer nearby. It has no leaderboard, no sign-up and collects no personal information. Its word list is filtered for words unsuitable for children, but no filter is perfect: if you spot one that slipped through, please tell us.
The leaderboard
Joining the leaderboard is optional. When you join:
- you must be 16 or over;
- your name, score, best word and country are shown publicly, and may appear on the stats page;
- use a name that isn’t offensive, misleading or someone else’s, and doesn’t advertise anything;
- scores must come from your own genuine play. No bots, scripts, modified games, or submitting results you didn’t play;
- we may hide or remove entries, names or scores that break these rules or look wrong, without notice, and our decision on rankings is final.
The leaderboard is for fun; there are no prizes unless we say so separately. Choosing to receive dzined emails, or to share your details with marketing partners, is separate and optional (see the Privacy policy).
Fair use
Please don’t try to break, overload, copy or scrape the games or the leaderboard, get around our limits, or use them for anything unlawful.
Ownership
The games, their design, code and name belong to dzined. Rowndy’s word lists are built from SCOWL, used under its licence. You may share screenshots and your scores freely.
Our responsibility to you
We work to keep the games running and accurate, but they are provided “as is” and we can’t promise they will always be available or error free. As the games are free, we are not liable for any indirect loss, or for loss of scores or rankings. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and we’ll ask you to agree again when you next join the leaderboard if the change matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections your local consumer law gives you and can bring claims in your local courts.
